Bus Accident Case

This case involved a claim by a 58-year-old woman who was hit by a MBTA bus while crossing Washington Street in Boston. The purpose of this animation was to show the jury the events that led up to this collision. The defendant MBTA claimed that the plaintiff was negligent for not seeing the bus and getting out of the way. This animation, which was based on an engineer diagram of the intersection as well as MBTA Police photographs, shows how the accident happened and the fact that the plaintiff was about 30 feet across the roadway in a crosswalk when the MBTA bus hit her from behind. This was an effective piece of demonstrative evidence which resulted in a verdict for the plaintiff.
