Attorney David White comments on today's Boston Globe article showing the state failed to inspect the majority of mall escalators regularly in the years leading up to last month's mall escalator accident that killed a child.

"It is encouraging that the state is now catching up on the backlog of inspections. What is discouraging, however, is how many violations they are finding. This is a strong indication that property owners and their own service companies may be putting the public at a severe risk."
